And when the Way cannot be seen, just know that it still exists. Don’t live for the next day, for there is no certainty what it may bring. If we live with an expectation of waking up tomorrow, we are both ignorant and blind—for without the beauty that’s in front of us every moment we breathe, beauty can exist in nothing else. Once the moment is gone, the aesthetic of that moment can be no more. The past holds no virtue and neither does the future. This moment is virtuous.
